Creatures at MacRitchie

IMG_4602_uploadLast weekend we decided we needed to get away from the urban jungle and get into the real jungle. We decided to take a short hike at the MacRitchie Reservoir. It was so nice to get outside into the fresh (albeit rather hot) air and see the wonders of nature. We find it very calming being amongst the trees, leaves and the abundant wildlife.

We thought we would like to share some of the wonderful creatures we came across…

  1. I miss my regular walks around MacRitchie Reservoir. Though I admit I was always a little nervous about who I would encounter – those monkeys can be aggressive! And once an alligator-like creature crawled out of the water and scared the living daylights out of me πŸ™ Now I have the natural beauty of Marin, California for my hikes. We only have to worry about coyotes, mountain lions, foxes and bobcats here :))

    • yeah, we just explored Pulau Ubin as well – always hopefully for some interesting wildlife sightings!! But we remember hiking in California worrying about those mountain lions… πŸ˜‰
